Couchie Nominated for BEST NEW ARTIST!

Northshore Singer/Songwriter Nominated in Aboriginal People’s Choice Music Awards

PIC RIVER, ON – Singer/Songwritter Bonnie Couchie was very excited to share news of her nomination in the Aboriginal People’s Choice Music Awards in August but bigger news has found Couchie in September.

She has made it to second round nominations and you can now vote for Couchie in the categories of “Best New Artist” and for “Best Album Cover Design” for her ‘Feather for an Elephant’ CD.  Many may have heard Couchie perform with her daughter at the Red Rock Live from the Rock Music Festival this year OR at one of her many House Concerts at the Pic River Guest Suite.Couchie was humbled by the nominations “What an honour it is to be among so many incredibly talented musicians” said Couchie, adding “I am happy I got this far” but those of us who have heard her perform know she belongs on stage accepting the award for the Aboriginal People’s Choice Music Awards Best New Artist 2010.
