NIPIGON OPP ARREST IMPAIRED DRIVER

 NIPIGON, ON –  July 25, 2011 at 11:10 p.m. Nipigon Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended Hwy 11 and 17, Township of Red Rock to assist the driver of a tractor trailer unit stuck on the eastbound shoulder of the road.

Officers spoke to the driver and found that he had been drinking.  The 53 year old male driver of St. Pierre Jolys, Manitoba was arrested for impaired driving and returned to the Nipigon OPP detachment.

The driver, David WIEBE, has been charged with Impaired Driving and Operate a Motor Vehicle with Over 80 milligrams of Blood Alcohol Content contrary to the Criminal Code. He is to appear in Nipigon Court on November 8 to answer to these charges.
