Episodes 2 and 3 are now online asking the youth in Wawa about where they like to shop and the benefits of being their own boss!

Where do you like to shop when you are outside of Wawa? This is what the Economic Development Corporation of Wawa asked various youth in Wawa while strolling Broadway Avenue and Mission Road. Watch PowerPlan Street Talk Episode 2 to find out where the youth in Wawa like to shop when they are in bigger centres at http://www.mypowerplan.ca/index.php/videos.

What do you think the benefits of being your own boss are? Suprisingly not very many youth really understood what the benefits of being your own boss are. Sure, you get to make your own hours, make the decisions for yourself, apparently “fire” yourself or “can’t get fired”, but the real benefits to being your own boss can only be described by a successful business owner themselves. Watch PowerPlan Street Talk Episode 3 and see what our Wawa youth think about the benefits of owning a business are at http://www.mypowerplan.ca/index.php/videos.

Not sure what PowerPlan is? It’s the latest project the Economic Development Corporation of Wawa has taken on. PowerPlan will effectively teach youth aged 16-29 in the Wawa area how to start and run a business. Youth will be guided in creating their business plan, attend interactive workshops and be paired up with successful business owners to learn first hand how to run a business.
