ANOTHER DRUG WARRANT EXECUTED IN GREENSTONE

LONGLAC, ONOctober 7, 2011 a warrant was executed at a home in the Town of Longlac by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Greenstone Detachment. 

A small amount of cannabis marijuana was located at the residence along with other offence related property. 

Norma TOWEGISHIG, 52, of Longlac, Ontario is charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of trafficking cannabis marijuana. 

She was released by police and is to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice Longlac on November 23, 2011.

ARREST WARRANT FOR SUBJECT LEADS TO DRUG TRAFFICKING CHARGES

LONGLAC, ON – October 9, 2011, Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Greenstone Detachment received information that a male was transporting Oxycontin and would be arriving on the train in Longlac. 

A check of this person revealed that he was wanted by the City of Thunder Bay for the charge of being unlawfully at large.

At approximately 8:45pm on the said date, members of the Greenstone OPP located Kenneth TAYLOR, 38 of Ginoogaming First Nation Territory exiting a Via Passenger Train in the Town of Longlac.  He was arrested on the strength of the warrant, and was transported to the Greenstone OPP for processing. 

While being lodged at the Greenstone OPP Detachment, police located a pill bottle containing 105 pills believed to be 80mg Oxycontin pills. These pills have an estimated street value of $12,600.00.

He has now been charged with the possession of a schedule 1 drug for the purpose of trafficking.  He was held in custody and has a bail appearance scheduled for October 12, 2011.
