BREAK AND ENTER
WAWA, ON – April 27th, 2012 the Ontario Provincial Police Superior East Wawa Detachment were advised of a break and enter that had occurred overnight. A residence onSecond Avenue in Wawa was entered and an undisclosed amount of money was stolen. OPP continue to investigate this matter. MULTIPLE CHARGES LAID IN DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE
WHITE RIVER, ON – During the early hours of April 28th, 2012 Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Superior East Officers were called to an assault complaint on Elgin Street inWhite River, Ontario. As a result of OPP investigation a 19 year old male fromWhite River was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences;
- Assault
- Criminal Harassment
- Mischief Under $5,000
- Unlawfully in a Dwelling House
The accused has been held for bail court in Sault Ste Marie and to appear on Monday April 30, 2012. The name of the accused has been withheld to protect the identity of the victim in this matter.

THEFT OF BOAT MOTOR
DUBREUILVILLE, ON – April 29th, 2012 Ontario Provincial Police Superior East Detachment were advised of a theft of a boat motor in Dubreuilville. The boat had been docked on the Magpie River and was last seen by its owner on April 26th. The motor is described as a new Mercury four stroke 2.5 HP motor and is valued at $1,100.
