4th Annual Kids Fishing Derby in Nipigon

NIPIGON, ON –   Nipigon’s men and women in blue will be helping kids cast a line this spring during the

4th Annual Kids Fish Derby, Saturday, May 12th 1-5pm Nipigon Marina Dock

The event, which is free for children and youth of all ages, will run from 1 pm to 5 pm at the Nipigon Marina dock area. Following the fishing fun, there will be a weigh-in and awards presentation where each participants will receive a prize. A free barbeque with hot dogs and beverages will be provided at no cost.

In the past, Kids Fish Derbies have been huge successes, drawing over 100 participants from the Thunder Bay district each year. This year, Parks Canada and the local fire department will be on site with stickers and giveaways.
