MANITOUWADGE PUBLIC SCHOOL NEWS

MANITOUWADGE, ON – This week our students put on a spectacular show of athleticism and sportsmanship at the annual Manitouwadge Public School Track and Field meet.  Staff and volunteers did a superb job of organizing a Track and Field event for our students from grade 4 to 8; but nothing can outdo the hard work and more than superb job that was done by the students themselves.  The staff, parents and students are so proud to brag that more than 71% of the participants have qualified to move on to next week’s Invitational Track and Field meet being organized by Our Lady of Lourdes School which includes competitors from across the Northshore.  Every single one of the students deserve honorable mention but there is just too many achievements to list.

Two of the many, many impressive records set on the field that day including records broken by:

  • HUNTER PATON  in the Boys’ ages 11 / 12 Shot Putt
  • RAIJA HACHE who captured a record 35 / 35 points

Congratulations to all those who competed with sportsmanship and determination! Best of luck to all who will compete at this week’s Invitational.
