White River, Manitouwadge and Geraldton among Fred Eaglesmith shows scheduled for this summer

When Eaglesmith visited White River in 2010 fans came from across the Northshore. Eaglesmith fan Gary Timms (seen here with Eaglesmith in 2010) is among those thrilled with the good news that several Northshore stops have been added to the 2012 Tour including one in Timms' hometown of Manitouwadge. Did you know that Independent Singer Songwriter Fred Eaglesmith has over 19 albums now?  Did you know that he has been on the David Letterman Show?  How about this – The Fred Eaglesmith Traveling Steam Tour is soon about to take off on a tour of Northern Ontario, beginning this year at a brand new hall, the Killarney Community Centre, on Saturday June 30?   Killarney is home to a popular Provincial Park and will be one of the biggest concerts of the tour, with a barbeque available. Killarney is located just south of Sudbury off Highway 69 (400 North) and is a hugely popular boating and camping destination.  This will be the first time the band has played there. Joining Fred’s band will be Bill Poss and The Fabulous Ginn Sisters!

On July 1, the Eaglesmith Show heads north to the Victory Tavern in downtown Timmins, for a special Sunday show at this local bar for Canada Day.   After these two shows, the band will head north to Geraldton Monday, July 2 as part of their 75th anniversary celebrations, for a show at the Geraldton Curling Club. The band will also play a big show Tuesday, July 3 in Atikokan at the Iron Mine, just two hours west of Thunder Bay.

In August, 2012, Fred Eaglesmith is booked at two major music festivals, which allows nine more shows to be scheduled for Northern Ontario!   We are pleased to announce the following new shows on the Traveling Steam Tour schedule for Northern Ontario:
