WHITE RIVER OPP CHARGES SSMARIE MALE – MULTIPLE CHARGES LAID

WHITE RIVER, ON – JUNE 27TH, 2012 AT 1:48PM Ontario Provincial Police Superior East White River Detachment were advised to keep observation for a silver Ford pickup truck.  It was reported that the vehicle had left White River and was being driven by a suspended driver with out vehicle insurance and that there were no plates on the truck.  The vehicle was located on Highway 17 south bound in the Lalibert Township and was subsequently stopped.  The OPP officer detected an odour of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the driver.

As a result the driver, 40 year old John MORRIN of Sault Ste Marie, ON was arrested and charged with the following offences;

1.  Exceed 80 milligrams of Blood/Alcohol Content –  Criminal Code of Canada
2.  Possession Property Obtained by Crime – Criminal Code of Canada
3.  Drive While Under Suspension – Highway Traffic Act
4.  Operate Motor Vehicle without Insurance – Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act

The accused was later released and is scheduled to appear in Wawa Criminal Court on August 13th and Provincial Offences Court on August 16th.
