In 2007, scary movie lovers were teased and tantalized by the previews for Paranormal Activity- a movie unlike any that we’d seen before. Word of mouth and strong marketing helped to fuel a massive 193 million dollar worldwide box office haul for a movie that shockingly cost only 15 thousand dollars to make! With numbers like those, it is no wonder that the Paranormal Activity franchise expanded to include several sequels- including Paranormal Activity 4 which debuts on DVD and Blu-Ray January 29^th! A total of seven new releases are available this week. Below is a brief synopsis for each;

NEW RELEASES ON DVD & BLU-RAY

Hotel Transylvania: featuring the voice of Adam Sandler– Dracula has opened Hotel Transylvania as a way for his monster friends to be sheltered from humans. But things don’t go as planned when a boy discovers the hotel and falls in love with Dracula’s daughter! (Family) (DVD, Blu-Ray and 3D Blu-Ray) Also available to rent at 2 Doors Down in Manitouwadge!

Paranormal Activity 4: starring Katie Featherston- Five years after the disappearance of Katie and Hunter, a family experiences strange events in their neighborhood when a woman and a mysterious child move in. (Horror) (DVD and Blu-Ray) Also available to rent at 2 Doors Down in Manitouwadge!

Cold Light of Day: starring Bruce Willis, Henry Cavill and Sigourney Weaver– After his family is kidnapped in Spain, a man races against the clock to find out who is responsible for their kidnapping- and what it is they want in return. (Thriller) (DVD and Blu-Ray) Also available to rent at 2 Doors Down in Manitouwadge!

Coriolanus: starring Ralph Fiennes and Gerard Butler- A man allies with a sworn enemy to take his revenge on the city of Rome after being banished for his actions. (Drama) (DVD and Blu-Ray) Also available to rent at 2 Doors Down in Manitouwadge!

Axed– A strict father agrees to let his children take a day off school for a trip to the countryside. But things take a dark turn when the family realizes that he is planning to make it their last outing ever. (Horror) (DVD)

Brake: starring Stephen Dorff– A Secret Service Agent is held captive in the trunk of a car and endures mental and physical torture as terrorists attempt to get information to use in their plot against the President. (Thriller/Suspense) (DVD) Also available to rent at 2 Doors Down in Manitouwadge!

Bullet: starring Christian Slater and Scott Adkins– A man crossing into Mexico with $2,000,000 cash and a shady past, finds himself under sudden attack in the Mexican town of El Fronteras. (Action) (DVD) Also available to rent at 2 Doors Down in Manitouwadge!

FOR THE GAMERS

The countdown continues for the release of Dead Space 3 which releases February 5^th! (CLICK HERE for last week’s Crossover Insider which includes a Dead Space 3 Game Trailer!)Also releasing on the same date is the sleeper hit- Fire Emblem Awakening for Nintendo 3DS!

We will have both titles on release date!

ELECTRONICS EXPANSION

We have acquired a brand new display cabinet (to go along with our existing display case) to further broaden our selection of electronics and accessories. Items to look forward to include: Iphone and Ipad cases, charging cables and more- to go along with our existing selection of Ipods, Tablets, Blu-Ray players, etc.
