Manitouwadge Council Discusses Need for Clearly Defined Rates For Rentals/Services in Regards to Non-Profit Orgs (incl. Full Council Video)

MANITOUWADGE, ON – Regular meeting of Manitouwadge Town Council May 8th, 2013 Mayor John MacEachern and all councillors were in attendance as was Town Clerk Cecile Kerster.

Included reports to council from the Public Works Manager Omer Collin and Director of Community Services Paula McCloskey.  Council discussed, at length, the need for (and merit of) clearly defined and widely available rates for services/rentals as these apply to non-profit organizations including a debate regarding how these should be ammended for annual events (and other special events) which the township invites (and encourages) non-profits to participate in. Councillors also had some discussion regarding what qualifies an organization as non-profit as it would apply to being eligible for the special rates.
