MARATHON/MTWDGE OPP TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO ARREST

MARATHON ON – Sunday April 28, 2013 at approximately 10:15 pm, an officer from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Marathon/Manitouwadge detachment was conducting radar enforcement on Highway 17 near Highway 614 in Bomby Township. The officer observed a black sedan travelling at a high rate of speed.

During the traffic stop, the officer was informed through the Canadian Police Information Center (CPIC) that the two occupants were not to have communication or contact as a result of previous legal issues.

Jeremy WOOD, 32, from Barrie ON was arrested and charged with breaching a court order. He was remanded into custody and will be scheduled to appear in court in the near future.
