Terrace Bay Begins Surveying About Housing

The Township of Terrace Bay began its housing study last month by asking major employers what they thought the future held for their workforce.  The next step in the process is to ask current residents in Terrace Bay and the region what their thoughts are on housing.  The survey, which is featured on the Terrace Bay Facebook page and Municipal website, is trying to determine if current residents also view the shortage of housing as limiting their plans.  Paper copies will also be distributed to different community groups and featured at the Municipal Office and the Public Library.  CAO Carmelo Notarbartolo says “We want to see what people think of our housing market and what ideally they would like to see in the future.  The survey will be used in the study to show overall demand for different types of housing and give us some feedback in our planning.”  The housing study will be completed next month and the survey will be on the website and open for feedback for the next two weeks.  For more information, visit www.terracebay.ca or www.facebook.com/yourterracebay.
