Three Chelmsford men have been fined a total of $6,000 for fishing quota violations.
Joel Rouleau, Ryan Lalonde and Guy Brosseau were each fined $2,000 for unlawfully possessing an over-limit of walleye.
Court heard that on June 22, 2013, a conservation officer inspected the three men on the Rush Lake Road, Mallard Township. He found a stringer of six walleye in their boat and a cooler containing 36 walleye at their campsite. Their combined catch of 42 fish exceeded the legal limit by 30.
Justice of the Peace Jean-Marie Blier heard the case in the Ontario Court of Justice, Chapleau, on September 11, 2013.
