Update: Industrial Rd (Hwy 625) Petitions To Be Delivered To Michael Gravelle

MANITOUWADGE, ON – Tuesday, September 24th Manitouwadge resident Bruce Luby made another step forward towards his efforts to save the corridor between Manitouwadge and Greenstone, known as Industrial Road or Highway 625. Luby delivered a package of petitions that had circulated in Manitouwadge, Geraldton, Caramat and other area communities, gathering more than 700 signatures along the way, to municipal Councillor Sheldon Plummer who was scheduled to be travelling to NOMA’s Northwest Regional Conference in Thunder Bay (Sept 25 – 27) hoping to deliver the petitions to Minister of Northern Devleopment and Mines and Thunder Bay Superior North MPP Michael Gravelle.

Luby had, prior to delivering the petitions to Councillor Plummer, had assistance from Economic Development Assistant Karen Robinson at the township to scan and copy the petitions hoping to send electronic and physical copies to a number of other government representatives including Manitouwadge’s MPP Michael Mantha, Minister of Natural Resources David Orazietti and Minister of Transportation Glen Murray.

OntarioNewsNorth.com has since contacted Minister Gravelle’s constituency office in Thunder Bay to advise them of the delivery hoping to be made and, hopefully, receive confirmation of this later today.
