Love him or hate him, Adam Sandler is almost automatic when it comes to making big bucks at the box office. In 2010, he joined forces with Kevin James, Chris Rock and David Spade in a family friendly comedy romp titled “Grown Ups”. Earning over 160 million worldwide, “Grown Ups” was an instant smash hit. To no one’s surprise, Sandler reunited with the group to film a sequel appropriately named “Grown Ups 2” which earned another 130 million dollars at the box office.

This week, Grown Ups 2 makes it’s DVD and Blu-Ray debut along with six other titles. Here is a brief synopsis of each along with their trailers;

NEW RELEASES on DVD & BLU-RAY

Grown Ups 2: starring Adam Sandler-Lenny moves back to his hometown with his family where he is reunited with his childhood friends. Feeling the need for a good time, the friends organize an 80’s themed costume party while their kids deal with a variety of comical issues. White House Down: starring Channing Tatum and Jamie Foxx– While on a tour of the White House with his young daughter, a man springs into action to save his child and protect the president from a group of heavily armed invaders. As I Lay Dying: starring James Franco and Danny McBride– After the death of their mother, a family sets about to honor her last wishes of being buried in the nearby town of Jefferson. Based on a novel. (Drama) (DVD) Also available to rent at 2 Doors Down in Manitouwadge!

Lovelace: starring Amanda Seyfried and James Franco– After leaving her religious family, a young lady discovers freedom and high-life when she marries a wealthy and charismatic hustler- who in turn encourages her to embrace her new identity as Linda Lovelace. (Drama) (DVD)

Girl Most Likely: starring Kristin Wiig and Annette Bening– After hitting rock bottom with her career and love life, a lady is forced to move back home with her mother and younger brother in hopes of stabilizing her life. (Drama/Comedy) (DVD)

Passion: starring Rachel McAdams– The rivalry between the manipulative boss of an advertising agency and her protegé escalates from theft to murder as they continually try to best one another. (Drama) (DVD)

Scoot & Kassie’s Christmas Adventure: starring Luke Perry– A girl rescues a wounded former police dog and names him Scoot. As the girl and her friends organize a charity concert to raise money for less fortunate kids, two crooks show up with a plot to steal the cash. Now Scoot must lead an effort to catch the bad guys and save Christmas. (Family) (DVD) trailer not available
