TERRACE BAY MALE CHARGED WITH ASSAULT

oppcolourNIPIGON, ON – Friday November 29, 2013 at 11:45 p.m. members of the Schreiber Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a call of an assault that had occurred at a business in the Town of Terrace Bay.  A male sustained injuries after being struck by a second male.  After investigation, officers arrested and charged a 35 year old male of Terrace Bay, Tim FILLION, with Assault and Theft Under $5000 contrary to the Criminal Code.  The male remains in custody and is to appear in Thunder Bay court on Monday December 2, 2013 to answer to these charges.

Members of the Schreiber OPP are currently investigating reports of break and enters that occurred sometime between Friday November 22 and Monday November 25, 2013 at Strey Township, west of Terrace Bay.  An unknown person(s) attended residences and forced their way into buildings on the property causing damage.  Numerous items were stolen from the properties.
