MANITOUWADGE, ON – Another school year has wrapped up and a new group of students will be beginning their secondary school studies at Manitouwadge High School in the fall.  An important part of Our Lady of Lourdes School celebrating their Grade 8 graduates is the mass and awards presentation.  

Amy Bodak was the 2014 Valedictorian, speaking to her peers and those in attendance about the memories they made during their 10 yrs at OLOL and the adventures yet to come.  Among the special awards presented were:

  • Father paul Conway Award: Davey Gillman
  • Sportmanship Awards
    • Female: Valerie Glaister
    • Male: Brady Lamont
  • French Second Language: Amy Bodak
  • OECTA Award (Aptitude in History): Valerie Glaister 
  • Catholic Women’s Society (Most improved academically): Michelle Phillips
  • Darren Nelson Award (Technology): Anthony Bellerose
  • School Spirit Award: Luc Labbee

There were also many students who worked diligently to earn a place on the Honour Roll with a Grade point average of 75% or higher; they were (in no particular order):
