SUSPICIOUS DEATH INVESTIGATION – MOOSONEE
MOOSONEE, ON – The Moosonee Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the James Bay Crime Unit, under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch Detective Inspector Martin Graham, are currently investigating the death of a female.
Members of the Moosonee OPP Detachment and Moosonee Emergency Medical Services (EMS) responded to an unresponsive female with obvious signs of trauma in the area of Bay and Hutchison Road, Moosonee on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at approximately 10:30 a.m.
The victim has been identified as Angel MATTHEWS (27 years) of Moosonee. A post mortem to determine the cause of her death will be conducted on Monday, October 20, 2014 in Sudbury.
The OPP is appealing to anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity or has any information about this death to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
