NO QUIT IN JR. GIRLS BASKETBALL TEAM
MANITOUWADGE, ON – Only 5 players, but the Manitouwadge Junior Girls team did not give up.
It would have been easy to say I don’t want to do this anymore, but the Manitouwadge High School Wolverines’ Junior Girls basketball team did just the opposite. They all practiced every day at 7am, trying their hardest in every game, setting goals at practice and working to reach them in each game.
TERRACE BAY, ON – Thursday (October 23), the Wolverines put forth their best effort of the season as they battled the Lake Superior High School Stingers. The Stingers won the game 27-8 but the Wolverines fought tooth and nail to stay in it. The Stingers pulled away with the win in the last five minutes of the game.
NSSSAA SEMI-FINALS THIS WEEK
The Stingers will play the Nip-Rock District High School Lakers in the West Division Cross-Over Semi-Final on Tuesday (Oct.28). The winner will advance to the 1-2 ranking game and a birth at the NSSSAA Finals to be held at the Senior Girls West Division winner on November 5-6th.
