TBay District Crime of The Week : Break & Enter and Firearm Theft

THUNDER BAY, ON – Crime Stoppers and the OPP are asking for your help in solving two Break & Enters that occurred in the Municipality of Neebing.

Sometime between October 11th 2014 and January 27th 2015 an unknown suspect(s) broke into a seasonal camp on Pardee Rd in the Municipality of Neebing.  The unknown suspects then gained access into a secured storage room and stole 5 firearms, a crossbow and a compound bow along with ammunition and firearms accessories.

  1. Semi automatic rifle – .22 calibre Anschultz with serial # 146096
  2. Semi automatic rifle – Remmington with serial # 7178518
  3. Shotgun – Bergamo with serial # 159373
  4. Shotgun – 12/70 Mauser over under break action with serial # 39818
  5. Shotgun – Baikal with serial # 1113310788
  6. Wildcat Crossbow
  7. Bear Compound Bow

Also stolen were:

  • 2 orange and white Husquavarna chainsaws,
  • 3 Gerber hunting knives,
  • unknown amout of Euros,
  • liquor,
  • binoculars,
  • flashlight,
  • cordless drill,
  • some atv parts,
  • small can of gas.

The suspect(s) smashed windows and pried open doors to gain access to the camp and the outbuildings.

In a similar incident, sometime between January 17th and 24th 2015 a residence on Savoie Rd in the Municipality of Neebing was also broke into.  There was nothing taken but the residence and garage had been ransacked.
