In 1956, a British cameraman by the name of Michael Bond thought up the idea for Paddington after buying a small toy bear that he felt sorry for as it sat on the store shelf. Living near Paddington Station in England, Bond decided to name the bear Paddington and soon after began writing some short stories about his prized new possession. If only he could have known that his pity purchase would turn into short stories which would ultimately lead to books, TV shows, movies and more! Paddington is now a household name around the world! The beloved bear stars in one of the nine new releases this week- a week which is jam packed with excellent selections for everyone in the family! Below are details for each new movie;

Boy Next Door: starring Jennifer Lopez – A high school teacher, whose husband recently cheated on her, succumbs to a moment of weakness with a much younger man who has just moved in next door. 50 to 1: starring Skeet Ulrich – Based on a TRUE STORY- A group of hard pressed, down on their luck cowboys from New Mexico finally catch a break when their racehorse qualifies for the Kentucky derby. (Drama) (DVD)
Automata: starring Antonio Banderas and Melanie Griffith – In the distant future, when the human race is slowly regressing, a technology is developed in the form of a robot designed to assist with the plights of society. (Sci-Fi) (DVD)
Island of Lemurs: On an island near Madagascar, the fascinating lemurs are slowly and sadly going extinct. Now, a team of scientists has begun working with the species in hopes of saving them. (Documentary) (DVD, Blu-Ray and 3D Blu-Ray)
