Male Charged in Chapleau Break and Enter / Robbery Investigation

oppcolourCHAPLEAU, ON – Wednesday July 8, 2015, members of the Superior East Chapleau Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a Break and Enter and Robbery incident at a Chapleau residence.

As a result of an extensive investigation Derek Steven SAUNDERS (36) of Brunswick House First Nation was arrested and charged with the following offences;

  • Break and Enter Dwelling House contrary to section 348(1)(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada
  • Robbery with Theft contrary to section 344(1)(b) of the CCC
  • Two counts of Theft Under contrary to section 334(b) of the CCC

An arrest warrant was issued for a Sudbury Ontario male.
