Highway 101 R.I.D.E. Check Results In Drug Charges
CHAPLEAU, ON – Friday October 23, 2015, at approximately 4:00 p.m. officers from the Superior East Chapleau Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting R.I.D.E. checks on Highway 101 Chapleau Township.
Officers had occasion to stop a pick up truck and speak with the driver and occupants.
Investigation revealed that a male passenger was in possession of drugs.
As a result Kevin CLOUTIER (43) of Sault Ste. Marie Ontario was charged with the following offence;
- Possession of a Schedule II Substance – Cannabis Marihuana under 30 grams contrary to section 4(1) of the CDSA.
The accused was released from custody and will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Chapleau on December 16, 2015.
