#CrossoverInsider : Season 5 of GoT, SNL Stars, Crossover on Amazon & More!
Since 1975, Saturday Night Live has been a comedic mixture in millions of households across North America. Known for their parodies and witty sketches, SNL has introduced us to some very funny actors and actresses who have gone on to have very successful Hollywood careers. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are two SNL alum who have made great careers for themselves. Fey starred in and won 2 Gold Globes for her work in 30 Rock. Poehler has also won a Golden Globe for her role in Parks and Recreation. The two comedic heavyweights teamed up to star in “Sisters”, this week’s headline new releases. Also featuring a few other SNL cast members, “Sisters” leads a week that features a total of six new releases. Below is a brief synopsis for each;

Alvin and the Chipmunks Road Chip: starring Jason Lee- After a series of misunderstandings, Alvin and friends come under the belief that Dave is about to propose to his girlfriend- and dump them! The Big Short: starring Christian Bale, Steve Carell, Ryan Gosling and Brad Pitt- ACADEMY AWARD NOMINEE- In the lead up to the economic meltdown of 2008, four very different groups each find and aim to exploit the same loophole in the housing market, which could make them very rich- or very poor. Brooklyn: starring Saoirse Ronan- ACADEMY AWARD NOMINEE -In the 1950’s, a young Irish immigrant lands in Brooklyn, where she quickly falls into a romance with a local guy. Carol: starring Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara- ACADEMY AWARD NOMINEE- Two women, from very different backgrounds, enter into an unexpected love affair after meeting at a department store. (Drama/Romance) (DVD)
