GOOSE DROPPINGS

Since March 21 has passed, so should winter…right?  Also Easter has come and gone.  I’ve seen a seagull and heard them.  Snow is disappearing.  And the real geese should soon return with the Snow Birds, back from warmer climes.  Hopefully, with spring will come much more sun and off can go those nasty colds which so many of us have put up with for so long.

The Drop In will welcome all of you for a visit to chat or play the regular game of the day:  bridge on Monday, bingo on Wednesday, euchre or cribbage on Thursday or mah jongg on Friday.   So, you don’t know much about how to do any one of these?  Well come out and we can help you learn.

The April General Meeting happens on Wednesday the 13th at 2:00 p.m.  Help running the club is needed.  And the nomination Committee will be struck and a search for executive members begun.  Elections take place at the May General Meeting held on Wednesday May 11, 2016.  There is a set of By Laws which outline the duties of the Executive Members.

Changes have been happening:  The kitchen is getting new appliances and the Back Room Committee has been meeting.

We also have an Ice Cream Social planned.  Come on out; bring a friend or more; bring the “kids” or grand kids.  Make sure you mark the date:  Friday, April 15, from 12:30 to 4:00 p.m.

We also have a fund raiser set for April 1, 2016:  a Spring Tea and Bake Sale from 12:30 until 3:30p.m.  By then all the Easter goodies will have hopped off down the Bunny Trail and a new supply will be needed.  Come on out for a treat and a touch of spring.

While you are at the Drop In during April you can sign up to order Hamburger pies which we plan to make in early May.  Plan ahead and do drop in.
