sgdsbSuperior-Greenstone District School Board was recently host to Microsoft Education as they prepared to roll out Office 365 to our leadership team. Office 365 is also available to all learners in the Board. The O365 tools will provide all our learners with tools to demonstrate their learning, and increase opportunities for collaboration and communication.

Superior-Greenstone District School Board is also an official Google Apps for Education (GAFE) board. By providing all our learners with the opportunity to access Microsoft Office 365 and Google Apps for education, Superior-Greenstone District School Board is able to provide learners with two powerful learning platforms that will encourage learners to make critical choices about accessing tools that best support their learning. By providing our learners with choice, we are providing flexible learning opportunities and multiple ways to demonstrate their learning.

The goal of  Superior-Greenstone District School Board is to provide seamless and engaging opportunities to access technology in our classrooms and practice and to support the 21st century competencies that are necessary for success in our ever increasing digital world. Technological competencies are a key component, along with numeracy and literacy,  for providing a strong learning foundation for all our learners that will allow them to thrive in our complex world.
