Damage at Penn Lake Park Results in Mischeif Charge

OPPcolourMARATHON, ON – On May 30, 2016 members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Marathon Detachment received a report of mischief at the Penn Lake Park, Marathon, Ontario.  An unknown subject drove a motor vehicle into the park and by spinning the tires on the property damaged the road and the lawn areas.  Penn Lake Park is a public area that is maintained by the Town of Marathon.

On June 8, 2016 after investigation police arrested and charged a male subject of Marathon, ON with Mischief Under $5000 for the damage at the park. The male is to appear at Ontario Court of Justice, Youth Court, on August 24, 2016 to answer to the charge.
