Canada’s Olympic Flag-bearer [from Ontario] Announced by PM
OTTAWA, ON – 2012 Olympic gold medallist in trampoline, Rosie MacLennan was announced as Canada’s flag-bearer for the opening ceremony for the Rio Olympics. The crowd gathered at Parliament Hill, cheered “Rosie-Rosie-Rosie” as she practised her flag waving skills with some tips from Prime Minister Trudeau. MacLennan spoke of the pride and gratitude which filled her as she prepares to attend her 3rd Olympic games following head injuries and significant challenges.
