Franco-Ontarian Pride Celebrated at École Saint-Joseph in Blind River

BLIND RIVER, ON – September 23 as part of Franco-Ontarian Day celebration, École Saint-Joseph presented a special gift to two outstanding community organizations. Honoured were the Ontario Provincial Police, represented by Constable Beverley Gauthier, and the North Shore Health Network, represented by a member of their committed executive, Mr. Alex Solomon. A giant Franco-Ontarian flag  was presented in appreciation of both organizations continued efforts to offer quality French-language services to members of the community.

Parents, members of the community and of the Club Richelieu joined students and staff in this celebration. The students displayed their pride in the community by displaying their green and white clothing and holding flags and banners. Their voices, filled with passion, could be heard in Blind River’s downtown area as the sang French songs and displayed their Franco-Ontarian pride. École Saint-Joseph is thriving and takes great pride in its Franco-Ontarian identity.
