For many years, spanning decades, animated movies have been seen as kid and family friendly. Many kids grew up watching what we now perceive as Disney classics like Cinderella, 101 Dalmatians, Pinocchio, etc. More recently, titles like Finding Nemo, Monsters Inc. and the Incredibles have all become household names in the family friendly animated genre. So what would happen if the tables were turned, and an animated movie would be made for strictly an adult audience? Seth Rogen and his usual partners in crime wanted to find out firsthand the answer to this question. With this in mind, Sausage Party was born. The rude and crude R-rated animated comedy features a talking sausage, his girlfriend (a hotdog bun) and various food items lining the shelves of an unassuming grocery store. Sausage Party also happens to be this week’s headline new release in a week that features a total of seven new movies. Below is a brief synopsis of each new title;
Sausage Party: featuring the voices of Seth Rogen, Michael Cera, Kristen Wiig and Jonah Hill– A misplaced sausage and his friends embark on an adventure through the aisles of a supermarket in search for the truth about the “Great Beyond”. Kickboxer Vengeance: starring Jean-Claude Van Damme– After his younger brother travels to Thailand to challenge a champion fighter- with dire consequences, a man sets out for revenge. (Action) (DVD)
Family Fang: starring Nicole Kidman and Jason Bateman– A brother and sister return to their family home in search of their world famous parents who have seemingly disappeared without a trace. (Comedy/Drama)
Alpha and Omega Big Fureeze: As they search for food for the winter, Kate and Humphrey become lost in a blizzard. Now it is up to their three 3 pups to track them down. (Kids/Animated) (DVD) Also available to rent at 2 Doors Down in Manitouwadge!
Snowtime: When winter break arrives, a boy and his friends are joined by the new girl in town for an all day snowball fight. (Kids/Animated) (DVD) Also available to rent at 2 Doors Down in Manitouwadge!
Call of Duty Infinite Warfare: Players can choose from three unique game modes: Campaign returns to the gritty, large-scale war roots of the franchise, while boldly looking ahead. Multiplayer delivers the future of warfare, with many new gameplay innovations. And the cooperative Zombies mode takes players on a wild ride through a new storyline with unique gameplay features and mechanics. Available to rent or buy for PS4 and Xbox One!
