Last week, we touched on the progression of animated movies over the years from the Disney classics to “Sausage Party”, the raunchy animated film geared for adult audiences. This week, we turn back our attention to family friendly animated fare. Back in 2003, the world was introduced to Nemo- the loveable orange fish who gets caught by a diver. The movie became an instant classic earning nearly 1 billion dollars at the US box office alone. Fans of the franchise rejoiced when a sequel was announced, this time centering on Dory- a supporting character from the original movie. “Finding Dory” opened in theatres on June 17th and would go on to gross over 485 million dollars at the US box office. Dory also happens to the headline new release in a week that features a total of six new movies. Below is a brief synopsis of each new film;
