UPDATE: Longlac Mischief Spree – Third Youth Charged

GREENSTONE, ON– The continuing investigation of the Greenstone Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) into a string of tire slashings that occurred in Longlac, Ontario on the night of November 5, 2016 has resulted in further charges. 

Two 14 year old female youths were arrested on November 16, 2016. One of the youths was charged with:

  • 19 counts of mischief under $5000.00 contrary to section 430(4) of the Criminal Code
  • failure to comply with conditions of undertaking given by officer in charge contrary to section 145(5.1) of the Criminal Code 

The second youth was charged with:

  • 1 count of mischief under $5000.00 contrary to section 430(4) of the Criminal Code
  • failure to comply with conditions of undertaking given by officer in charge contrary to section 145(5.1) of the Criminal Code 

On November 23, 2016 police arrested a third suspect.  A 12 year old female of Long Lake #58 First Nation Territory is charged with:

  • 19 counts of mischief under $5000.00 contrary to section 430(4) of the Criminal Code
