Upon their arrival officers observed numerous improperly stored and loaded firearms including one loaded prohibited firearm, also located was one prohibited device.

As a result of further investigation and the execution of two search warrants in relation to firearms offences police recovered one prohibited device and one handgun.

The following people have been arrested:

Neil Frederick PEARCE, 39 years old of Schreiber, Ontario is charged with the following offences;

1. Six counts of Careless storage of a firearm contrary to section 86(1) of the Criminal Code.
2. Two counts of Careless use of a firearm contrary to section 86(1) of the Criminal Code.
3. Two counts of Possession of a prohibited device contrary to section 92(2) of the Criminal Code.
4. Knowledge of unauthorized possession of firearm contrary to section 92(2) of the Criminal Code.
5. Possession of loaded prohibited firearm contrary to section 95(a) of the Criminal Code.
6. Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm contrary to section 91(1) of the Criminal Code.

Jessica Ann PEARCE 36 years old of Schreiber, Ontario, charged with the following offences;

1. Possession of a schedule 1 substance (cocaine) contrary to section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
2. Six counts of Careless storage of a firearm contrary to section 86(1) of the Criminal Code.
3. Two counts of Careless use of a firearm contrary to section 86(1) of the Criminal Code.
4. Possession of a prohibited device contrary to section 92(2) of the Criminal Code.
5. Knowledge of unauthorized possession of firearm contrary to section 92(2) of the Criminal Code.
6. Possession of loaded prohibited firearm contrary to section 95(a) of the Criminal Code.
7. Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm contrary to section 91(1) of the Criminal Code.

Neil Frederick PEARCE and Jessica Ann PEARCE have been remanded into custody awaiting a bail hearing.
