Science North Summer Science Camps in 34 Northern Communities

MARATHON, ON – Registration for Science North Summer Science Camps is now open in 34 different communities in the northern region including Marathon, Nipigon, Terrace Bay,  Geraldton, Wawa and Chapleau.

The programs provide a unique blend of hands-on science, fun for kids and contain many new activities!

The following Science Summer Camps are available in Marathon from August 8 – 11:

Nature Camp – Ages 4 to 5

Is your child interested in insects? Perplexed by plants? Amazed by animals? Then this is the camp for your young naturalist. Theme days include: Dino Diggers where campers become palaeontologists for the day and Going Buggie, how many different local bugs will your child find on the Bug Hunt? Nature lovers welcome!

Water-tastic! – Ages 6 to 8

This camp is going dive into the world of marine animals, deep sea dungeons, and freshwater fun! Campers will explore the salty sea and the local pond by looking at the mysterious animals that live there. It’s going to be Jaw-some!!

Behind the Scenes Science – Ages 9 to 11

Do you have the courage to venture into the world of a zombie apocalypse, medieval mayhem, or a superhero showdown? This camp explores the behind the scenes science that has become the basis for Hollywood tales. Your camper will learn how to concoct exploding wizard potions, dissect zombie brains, and use spy gadgets! Discover science in the cinema with this ‘all-access’ pass!!
