Greenstone Man Charged for Driving while Impaired by Drugs

GREENSTONE, ON – On June 29, 2017, at 11:12 am, Greenstone Ontario Provicial Police (OPP) received two calls reporting an impaired male in the driver seat of a blue van at the Woodcrest Confectionary located in Longlac, Ontario.

As a result of investigating this incident, the driver was evaluated by an officer trained as a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE). Subsequently, Allan Shaganash age 30 years of Greenstone, was arrested and transported to the Geraldton District Hospital to provide blood samples. The driver was subsequently charged with:

  • Driving while ability impaired by drug contrary to section 253 (1)(a) of the Criminal Code

  He will appear in Longlac Court on August 16, 2017 to answer to the charge.
