Government of Canada Invests $15,000 to Dubreuilville Summer Festivals

$15,000 from the Government of Canada will support the Township of Dubreuilville’s efforts to expand its summer festival and national Strongman Challenge

DUBREUILVILLE, ON – FedNor – The Government of Canada is investing $15,000 to enable the Township of Dubreuilville to grow its three-day summer festival and national Strongman Challenge, running July 28 to 30, 2017. The event, the largest competition of its kind in Northern Ontario, is celebrating its 16th anniversary and will welcome athletes from across Canada and the United States.

The Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development, and Minister responsible for FedNor, today announced this investment, provided throughFedNor’s Economic Development Initiative (EDI) for Official Language Minority Communities.

“This FedNor investment will help our community expand our annual festival and Strongman Challenge, an event that has become a focal point of the summer season in Dubreuilville. This is an excellent opportunity to showcase our community and culture, as well as to promote the businesses of the local region. This year’s event will feature enhancements including a trade show for local and regional artisans and businesses to showcase traditional French culture, products and services, and a bilingual science exhibit.
