MANITOUWADGE, ON – The Manitouwadge Archival and Historical Society (MAHS) held Museum day August 18, 2019. It was a great way to end a busy summer as the Museum, which is seasonal, closed August 30, 2019.

The event was an open house and BBQ which included free admission to the museum, various attendance draws sponsored by local businesses, a scavenger hunt within the museum, free hotdogs to enjoy, as well as the opportunity to meet MAHS Volunteers.

In conjunction with the event, a dog agility course demonstration was provided by Just Fur Fun Instructor Laurie Isaacs and one of her private lesson clients North and her owner (video above). During the demo, Isaacs also provided interested spectators with the opportunity to learn some basic techniques and commands, giving participants a taste of how much time and practice is involved in becoming as adept as Laurie, and her students are.

A great time was had by all who attended with plenty of fun inside and out of the museum. Thanks to all the volunteers from the Manitouwadge Archival and Historical Society who work diligently to preserve and share Manitouwadge’s history.
