Combined Forces Warrant Leads To Drug Charges In Longlac

LONGLAC, ON – On July 27, 2011 members of the Drug Enforcement Unit, Thunder Bay Police Canine Unit, Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Greenstone Detachment and Northwest Region Crime Unit executed a search warrant at a residence in Longlac. During the search officers located and seized oxycodone, marihuana and drug paraphernalia.

As a result of the investigation 35 year old Ryan MOFFATT of Longlac has been arrested and charged with possession of oxycodone for the purpose of trafficking and possession of marihuana contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. He will have an appearance by video in the Thunder Bay Ontario Court of Justice on July 28, 2011.

The Combined Forces Organized Crime Unit consists of members from The Thunder Bay Police Service, The O.P.P.- Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau, The R.C.M.P., The Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service and The Anishinabek Police Service.
