DYER’S FIELD, MARATHON, ON– The Kids took on Crossover Video Blue Jays in game one of the evening and defeated the Jays 12-9. Dan Michano hit his first home run of the season, and pitched well for The Kids in victory. Nathan Davis hit his league leading 28th home run of the season in the loss for the Jays. The win improved The Kids record to 8-9-2 on the season.
In the nightcap, Mobert tried to keep their hopes alive for first place in Marathon Mixed Slo-Pitch, and did just that, defeating the Crossover Video Jays 13-4. Pat Bananish lead a five home run attack for Mobert with two of his own. Tanya Desmoulin picked up the win pitching for Mobert, with great defense played behind her. Nathan Davis hit his 29th of the season in a losing cause. With the win Mobert claws to one game behind the Jagerbombers for first place in MMSPL with four to go. The loss dropped the Jays to 10-11 on the year.
