MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION ON HWY 614 RESULTS INJURIES
MANITOUWADGE ON – Thursday November 22, 2012 approximately 4:50 pm a Chevrolet Colbalt was northbound on Highway 614. The driver of the Colbalt lost control of the vehicle and it struck the guide posts on the east side of the road. The vehicle then careened into the southbound lane where it was struck broadside by a southbound Dodge Caravan.
There were two occupants in the Colbalt and one in the Caravan. All three parties were transported to Manitouwadge General Hospital and then onto the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre by ambulance. It is unknown at this time the extent of the injuries.
Members from the Marathon/Manitouwadge Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and a Collison Reconstructionist responded to the crash and the investigation was said to be continuing as of Nov.23rd.
