OPP INVESTIGATE ROBBERY IN WAWA

WAWA, ON – Sunday June 22, 2014 at 2:15 am the Wawa Ontario Provincial Police Detachment were advised that a male had been the victim of a robbery at the intersection of Magpie Road and Boyer Street in Wawa.

While walking home alone the victim was thrown to the ground by five unidentified males.  The victim attempted to stand and was shoved to the ground by one of the males.  The victim’s wallet had fallen to the ground and was picked up by one of the males, who removed an undisclosed amount of Canadian currency and threw the wallet back.

The males left the area on foot on Boyer Street towards Churchill Avenue. 

The following is a description of each suspect;

Suspect 1 – white male, approx. 20-30 years of age, English speaking (no accent), tall, thin build, black pants, work boots, black hoody, long hair, tattoo on top of right hand.
Suspect 2 – white male, approx. 20-30 years of age, English speaking (no accent), tall, thin build, black pants, Adidas Shoes, white sweater with gold design emblem on arm and chest, flat ball cap lid, hair in his face.
Suspect 3 – white male, approx. 20-30 years of age, English speaking (no accent), tall, thin build, black pants, work boots, black hoody.
Suspect 4 – white male, approx. 20-30 years of age, English speaking (no accent), tall, thin build, black pants, work boots, black hoody.
Suspect 5 – white male, approx. 20-30 years of age, English speaking (no accent) but deeper voice, tall, thin build, black pants, work boots, black hoody.
