Hearst Driver Charged For Speeding In Greenstone

GREENSTONE, ON – On August 10, 2014 a member of the Greenstone Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) observed a black Ford Explorer travelling east bound at a high rate of speed on Highway 11, west of Camp 25 Road. The police officer used radar to confirm the suspicions of the high rate of speed. The speed of the moving motor vehicle was locked on the radar at or in excess of 50km/h over the posted speed limit of 90km/h. The driver, Renee GAUDREAULT ALARY of Hearst, Ontario (ON) was charged under section 172(1) of the Highway Traffic Act (HTA) and issued a Provincial Summons for Drive Motor Vehicle Perform Stunt for Speeding by 50 km/hour or more. Further to that the driver was issued a 7 day licence suspension and the vehicle was impounded for 7 days. Renee GAUDREAULT ALARY is scheduled to appear in court in Geraldton, Ontario on September 23, 2014.
