Albertans Arrested. Near Nipigon, For Possession of Stolen Property

oppcolourMALE AND FEMALE ARRESTED FOR POSSESSION OF STOLEN PROPERTY

NIPIGON, ON – August 9, 2014 at approximately 10:00pm in the Township of McCallister, members of the Nipigon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Highway 17 relating to a report of a suspicious passenger vehicle last seen at the Nipigon Petro Canada. Upon speaking to the male driver and female passenger, officers learned that the vehicle they were driving was stolen out of Calgary, Alberta.

As a result of the investigation, 32-year-old Charles WELLWOOD and 34-year-old Larissa LOGOZZO, both of Calgary, Alberta, were arrested and have been charged with:

  • one count of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
  • one count of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000,

contrary to the Criminal Code.

Both of the accused were held for a bail hearing August 10, 2014.
