TERRACE BAY, ON – Parents, staff and students of St. Martin Elementary School now have one more way to stay in touch and keep up with import things happening at school. Principal Kerry Robinson-Desjardins has created a Facebook page for the school and students and their parents who use Facebook are encouraged to ‘Like’ the page.
“We live in a technological age and needed to branch out to social media in order to engage parents and extended family members of students in the wonderful learning experiences that occur at our school on a daily basis. This ensures that not only students and parents are part of our school community but all family, friends, and supporters within the town of Terrace Bay and the surrounding area also have the opportunity to participate.” explained Principal Robinson-Desjardins.
The school, one of 9 elementary schools in Northwestern Ontario’s Superior North Catholic District School Board, is not new to the internet, it regular shares articles and photos via the board’s website and local, daily online newspaper OntarioNewsNorth.com the latter already sharing these via Facebook and Twitter.
