SEARCH FOR MISSING MAN-CALLED OFF
WAWA, ON – On Saturday September 27, 2014 The OPP Underwater Search and Recovery Unit (USRU) and the Superior East Wawa Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) ended their search effort for missing person Gary MORETTIN (58) of Sault Ste Marie Ontario.
It was decided to call off the search until new evidence or information arises.
The search began on Tuesday September 16, 2014 near the Black Beaver Lake area. Police extensively searched the area with the assistance of the Emergency Response Team (ERT), the Air Support (Helicopter) and members of the Superior East Wawa Detachment.
