SCHREIBER, ON – September 30, 2014 at approximately 7:00 p.m. members of the Schreiber Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were dispatched to Hwy 17, Killraine Township to assist with an injured male. The male was injured after he lost control of an off road dirt bike that he had been riding at Whitesand Road and Hwy 17. The male was transported to the hospital by ambulance from the scene.
After investigation officers determined that the driver had consumed alcohol. As a result, the 56 year old male, Michel GAGNE of Kirkland Lake, Ontario has been charged with:
- Impaired Driving,
- Drive Motor Vehicle while Disqualified,
contrary to the Criminal Code. The male is to appear in Schreiber Criminal Court on December 11, 2014 to answer to these charges.
