oppcolourWAWA, ON – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Superior East Wawa Detachment want to remind the public that removing, damaging or vandalizing any election signs is a criminal offence.

  • Anyone found committing such act can be charged with Mischief which is a Criminal Offence under section 430 Criminal Code of Canada.
  • The penalty for Mischief  is: Guilty of an indictable offence and liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years, or guilty of an offence punishable on summary conviction.
