Synchronicity is when your new mittens arrive in the mail on the day of the first snow, just when you are going to be outdoors to cover a local news event. Synchronicity is having an editor of a print and online newspaper contact you, only to find that you have a million things in common, so you spend half a day on the phone, when you both should be working. I love it when the universe tips its hat to me that way. It always makes me feel like I am on the right path and these are the sign posts that say I am right up to speed.
My name is Jennifer Niskanen and I live in Nipigon. Writing has always been a personal interest of mine and now I am going to share some of that passion here at OntarioNewsNorth.com. I moved to this area in the nineties to attend Lakehead University and then I met a boy. You can guess the rest, the boy grew to be a man after wandering around a bit, and took me home to Nipigon. We’ve been here nine years now and my beautiful seven year old boy was born here. I am a strong believer in multimedia and the written word, both in print and online. There is synergy in the air and I’m excited to see where this new road might take us.
