MANITOUWADGE, ON – The 3rd Annual Manitouwadge Community Showcase and Sing-A-Long was held a few weeks ago, just in time to stock food bank shelves and add a little extra holiday cheer in the air. Presented by the Nite on the Town Entertainment Series (NOTES) it was organized by Chair Natalie Labbee.

There were several new acts in this year’s show, including; Nikki Gionet-Reukl’s beautiful singing, a great performance by vocal duo and friends Julia Gervais and Alana Zawadski, a Manitouwadge Public School choir of angelic voices led by Jody Kuzinski, and incredible melody of Christmas songs played on by the Harmonica Man Brian Cunningham which had the entire audience clapping along and dancing in their seats, solos by Natalie Labbee, Jillian Hamilton, Janelle Rusard, and Betty Gillman and much more.  Organizer Nathalie Labbee also had some new help at the microphone, young friend Emeraude Charron joined her as co-master of ceremonies.

The evening wrapped up with Emeraude Charron, Alana Zadwaski and Julia Gervais leading the audience in a sing-a-long accompanied on the piano by Shirley Desjardins, the perfect end to an evening of entertainment and holiday cheer.

By the evening’s end, $500 worth of non-perishable goods had been donated for the Manitouwadge Food Bank while another $500 was raised to assist with costs incurred by the Night on the Town Entertainment Series (NOTES) when welcoming artists.  For those who enjoy a great night out, the next show by NOTES will be Selena Ryder on February 5th, 2012, get your tickets today at CROSSOVER VIDEO in Marathon or at the SEARS OUTLET in Manitouwadge (they’re selling fast!)
